In 2001 I grew tired of my terrible boring accounting job and started sewing late into the nights. Over the next six years, I juggled my day job with my night job (my true passion), work by day, sew by night. And thus, Majesty Industries was born.
It wasn't until my first farmer's market, I learned how fulfilling it was to sell my sewn projects to real, genuine, customers. Two weeks later I quit my terrible boring job and went full time with Majesty Industries! Between 2007-2017, I learned and honed my craft, set up my silkscreening studio, attended countless farmer's markets, craft shows, and music festivals. I even began to take on wholesale accounts! I don't know how ten years had passed, but I wouldn't change a single second of it!
And now, it's time for a change. Participating in local events, near and far, fostered my love of local. My love of connecting one-on-one with customers and clients, sharing a mutual love for all things handcrafted. I took the plunge to open Majesty and Friends Brick and Mortar in Late 2016.
We spent 5 years in the highlands neighborhood rocking it out with local goods and after 5 amazingly successful years we have expanded the shop!
Our new location is at Manchester Square in Downtown Edmonton. It has all the vibes and all the space to continue showing off local goods and the very best of designers we can find. The open ceilings, the roof to ceiling windows, and our amazing rainbow staircase have made our spot fun and very instagrammable.
In August 2022 our Ice cream themed Washroom became AWARD WINNING! We won "Canada's BEST Washroom 2022" and we are now nationally recognized. It's the cutest washroom you will find, and yes- the voting was a landslide win by all our clients and followers. Thank you for supporting us!
Join me on this amazing new adventure - and come meet all of my friends!
